( www.rpaniagua.com ), announces the return of the highly successful, "AT&T North Beach Tropical Music & Sports Festival", which will span over five consecutive Saturdays, starting July 18th, through August 15th 2009, from 1:00 to 9:00pm, at North Miami Beach, (73rd & Collins); admission is FREE and open to all ages. With a warm welcome from North Beach residents, local businesses and community leaders, the series is back to take reign of the North Miami’s oceanfront. The 2009 summer schedule has moved from Sundays to Saturdays, due to its popularity. The festival series celebrates Latino culture, music and lifestyle, offering up an exciting menu of FREE family activities. Between beach volleyball, dominoes, savory Latin cuisine, weekly dance lessons, arts & crafts, health screenings and children’s rides, there is something for everyone. The expanded program promises electrifying musical performances from a diverse Pan-Latino musical palette for the public to enjoy free of charge. The sizzling Tropical musical line-up includes performances by platinum-selling recording artist Frankie Negrón, who will kick off the series on Saturday, August 18th. Bachata’s darling duo Carlos Y Alejandra, the ever-popular Latin jazz star Nestor Torres, and the legendary Eddie Santiago, are among the artists corralled to take the stage. Sports fans can enjoy in a plethora of activities that will take place in the sand bowl, directly behind the Band Shell from 2-6PM. Competitive beach volleyball tournaments, dominoes and dance contest are included. The beach volleyball tournament will feature some of South Florida's best players headed up by Carlos Jimenez, EVP Tour director. Participants will compete for prizes and the title of 'King and Queen of the Beach'. Mini-domino tournaments will take place adjacent to the sand bowl, adding to the festivities. After the success of the 2008 launch, event organizers RPI and AT&T were recognized with “The Community Enhancement Award” by the North Beach Bandshell Trust and the City of Miami Beach for its positive contributions. “We are very excited to be celebrating our 2nd Anniversary,” says Ralph Paniagua, founder and CEO of R.
